So I have been on a horrible losing streak, but it may have to do with keeping busy and doing a lot of school work. I have been trying to get a internship or job this summer that has to deal with my major and that has taken up a lot of my time as well. In tonight's daily double, 2 10$ tournaments, I cashed in both of them. Now, I barely cashed in both of them, but I did cash. That means i get a bonus for doing so...like an extra 35$ or something. So that makes me feel a lot better. An interesting hand happened in a 5$ mtt that I would like to share with all of you. I may have tried this move too early in the tournament, but it worked to perfection this time. The player that I am playing against has been pretty aggressive in the early stages of the tournament(donkey) and when i checked the turn in a previous hand after a continuation bet on the flop, she just pushed all in and I folded. So I used the information to good use in this hand...

On the flop, I made a weak looking bet of 150 to see if Cinderella would take the bait again and try to make a move on me. She did and my plan was all working so the turn gave me 2 pair(I would have done it with just the A too...I didn't need the K) and to my surprise she did not make a bet on the turn and I began to get discouraged and also checked, but checking showed even more weakness in my hand.
On the river, I checked and Cinderella1 went all in for 2 reasons and both of them had to deal with the card on the river. The 5 of diamonds brought out a flush and it also brought out a straight. I did not get much information with my 150 bet, but throughout the hand, I put Cinderella on a weak A or a hand like 89 or 910. All 3 of these hands fitted the picture, but her push on the river did not. If she had a flush draw she would have bet it with her 89 and even the 910 hand. So, flush draw could be rationally ruled out. She would also have bet a straight draw once I checked the turn especially an open ended one, which she would have to make her straight on the river. So, I ruled out the only hands that I thought had me beat. The only other hand that could have sneaked up on me is 150$ call with 5's on the flop and got a set on the river, but the chances of that are even more rare.
So, I did all the above thinking within 10 seconds to make my decision. My whole plan was for her to make that move on the river that she did, but I had to make sure it was just a move and that was easily done through my analysis of the hand.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO TO AVOID THIS STUPIDITY...BOTH OF THEM SHOULD HAVE FOLDED. ESPECIALLY the K10... UGH. At least i got 5th for about $123.00, but that hand cost me about $300 in tournament winnings... Thanks for the support during the tournament from Kris, Ryan, and my dad. This could be the start of something great for me.

Last Night...Erik Seidel, Almost final table... ENOUGH SAID!
So, Wednesday I started playing some sngs and cashed in about half of them. Later at about 8pm I noticed that ERIK SEIDEL was sitting at a 20$ omaha hi/low limit sng. I am not a great player at omaha, but better than the average poker player at it so i decided to sit down and play in the sng. Obviously Erik was just doing it for Full Tilt Poker, but just sitting down and playing with him was an honor. Though I finished 5 out of 9, I learned a lot just watching him play the sng. After my sng with Erik, I decided to jump in a 5$ 399 player tournament. I played very well early on and not as tight as usual. By the time the bubble was coming around, about 50 players left, the cards went really sour. For the next 1-2 hours, I was stealing blinds as much as I could with like A rag and connectors and doing so successfully without any opponents. Finally, with 2000/4000 blinds and 500 antes.... I tried to double up to get to the final table. I had only 8,500 left and I pushed with 68 of hearts, but unluckily ran into Kings in the big blind and finished in 11th. I only got about 25$ for my effort, but 1st place got $480 so the risk was well worth it.
Today, not much working for me... I had some sick beats in sngs and in the 1 tournament I was in, but o well. I hope the rest of the day works out better.
